A few high profile apps have disappeared from the Apple Watch, with Amazon, eBay and Google Maps no longer being supported on WatchOS.
To be fair, shopping and using a map on the tiny Apple Watch screen was never a great experience to begin with, so it's possible these apps have been removed due to lack of use. Still, it's interesting to see such high profile brands remove themselves from the best-selling smartwatch on the market.
According to a statement from Google to Apple Insider, Google Maps removal from WatchOS is only temporary, "We removed Apple Watch support from our latest iOS release but expect to support it again in the future."
