Alongside the new Watch Ultra 3 and Series 11, Apple has also updated its most affordable smartwatch with the new Apple Watch SE 3. The new model gets a notable spec bump with the S10 processor – the same chip inside the new Series 11 – which Apple says helps improve both performance and battery life. It also finally gains an always-on display, something that’s been missing from the SE line since its debut.
The SE 3 comes in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, and is available in Midnight and Starlight aluminium cases. The front crystal now uses Apple’s Ion-X glass, which is said to be twice as scratch-resistant as before. Charging speeds are also up to two times faster, and battery life is rated for around 18 hours, with watchOS 26 adding better power management.
Health tracking gets a step up too. The SE 3 introduces a temperature sensor for the first time, along with sleep apnea detection and sleep scores. You also get Apple’s double-tap gesture control, wrist-flick shortcuts, and the option to play music and podcasts directly through the watch’s speaker. Cellular models now support 5G connectivity for faster streaming and calls when you’re away from your phone.
The Apple Watch SE 3 starts at S$349 and is available to pre-order now, with general availability beginning on 19 September. To pre-order it, click here.
