Zero1, an MVNO that uses Singtel for its backbone network, has updated its Basic plans with a new called Zero1 Starter 4G Plus, as Singapore moves away from 3G connectivity.
Zero1 Starter 4G Plus
The self-proclaimed “unbeatable package for the modern lifestyle” plan is a monthly, SIM-only, contract-free bundle that packs 100GB of local data, 300 minutes of local outgoing talktime, 100 outgoing local SMSes, and Caller ID into a S$7.06/month package.
The plan also offers bonuses like 2GB of roaming data if you sign up by 31 January 2025. There is also three free months of 5G connectivity if you have a 5G-capable phone.
Note #1: If you miss the promo, the 2GB roaming data is available as an add-on. The data is for the following territories: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, The Philippines, and India.
Note #2: If you want 5G connectivity throughout your plan's lifespan, Zero1 offers a different S$20/month package called Z-One 5G Prime.
According to Zero1's official website, the MVNO offers free mailbox delivery and free SIM card self-collection. However, if you want in-person, face-to-face delivery to a non-ID registered address, a nominal fee will apply.
In summary, the new basic plan by Zero1 offers the following if you sign up by 31 January 2025:
- 100 GB local data
- Free 2GB roaming data to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, The Philippines and India.
- 5G speeds for three months
- 300 minutes of outgoing local talktime (with unlimited incoming minutes)
- 100 free SMS
- Free Caller ID

A refresher on Zero1
Zero1 began in 2018 as the third MVNO player in Singapore's consumer telco market. It was the first MVNO to offer 5G connectivity when the technology was fairly new. Owing to its affordable yet sizeable allotments, the MVNO is regularly featured in our many guides for mobile data plans (SEA guide, APAC guide).
It is not affiliated with Zero Mobile, a similarly named MVNO that rug-pulled users in 2020 and was subsequently blacklisted by Singapore's telco authority, IMDA.
