Sweet! Singtel is giving away a free Samsung Galaxy Tab A with the Galaxy Note9.

Missed the Samsung Galaxy Note9 pre-order offer? Fret not, Singtel's got an interesting deal with a free tablet when you purchase the Note 9 with their Combo plans.

Note: This article has been updated to include Singtel's Galaxy Note9 offers at Comex 2018, which is happening from Sep 6 - 9.

Samsung’s latest and greatest phone, the Galaxy Note9, is going on sale islandwide starting today, August 25.

If you’ve missed the earlier pre-order promotion, don’t despair—there’s now another chance to land a great deal that’s exclusive to Singtel.

Free Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0") LTE

Yup, you read that right. Starting today, when you buy a Samsung Galaxy Note9 with a Combo or Combo XO plan, you’ll also receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0") LTE tablet worth S$398 for free! This promo is available while stocks last.

Featuring an 8-inch display, the Galaxy Tab A (8.0") is an everyday tablet designed for comfort and style. With Smart View, you can play content on a TV screen for the whole family to enjoy; and with Kids Mode and Parental Control, parents can rest assured that the little ones are well protected while they’re having fun.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab A (8.0") is powered by a quad-core processor and offers expandable storage via its built-in microSD card slot. It’s an LTE-capable tablet too, so you can work and play on the go.

To get the tablet, you do have to subscribe to Singtel’s S$10.70/month MobileShare service on the same day you get the Note9, and the service must be tied to your Note9’s number. As the name of the service implies, you get to share your plan's mobile data with another device - perfect to pair with the free Galaxy Tab A.

Combo XO—The best way to get more data and the Note9 at an affordable price

You can get the free Galaxy Tab A (8.0") tablet when you purchase the Galaxy Note9 with any of Singtel’s Combo plans. To ensure that you’ve enough data to share among your two new devices, you might want to consider Singtel’s new Combo XO plan. At S$78/month, Combo XO gives you a generous 18GB of local data, 300 minutes of talktime, and 300 SMS messages. Better yet, if you exceed this 18GB allocation, your next 18GB block only costs another S$18, so there’s no bill shock at the end of the month.

The other advantage of Combo XO is that it allows you to get the phone at a huge discount: the 128GB Galaxy Note9 at S$498 or the 512GB model at S$808. Without a contract, they’re priced at S$1,398 and S$1,728 respectively.

The fastest network with the widest coverage

If you’re getting a flagship phone like the Galaxy Note9, which has a super-fast Cat.18 LTE modem, it makes sense to run it on a fast mobile network that has a peak speed of 1.1Gbps.

According to Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence data for Q1–Q2 2018, Singtel has the fastest mobile network in Singapore. Additionally, according to IMDA’s 4G Outdoor Mobile Service Coverage Measurement Results, Singtel’s network has had the widest coverage (reaching 99.9% of Singapore) for 14 consecutive quarters from Q4 2014 to Q1 2018.

Samsung Galaxy Note9—A productivity and multimedia powerhouse

If you’re in the market for a phone that excels in both work and play, the Galaxy Note9 has few peers.

To recap, the well-loved S Pen in the Note series has gotten a major upgrade this year—in addition to helping you take notes and drag and drop stuff from one window to another, it now doubles as a remote control. You can use the stylus to play, pause, or switch to the next video on YouTube, trigger the phone’s camera shutter, command your slideshow when the Note9 is connected to Samsung DeX, and more from as far as 10 meters away.

Powered by the octa-core Samsung Exynos 9810 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storage, as well as a large 4,000mAh battery to last you the whole day, the Note9 also comes with a 6.4-inch, 2,960 x 1,440-pixel Super AMOLED display—the largest edge-to-edge display ever on a Note. Paired with AKG-tuned stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos three-dimensional audio, it’s no hyperbole to say that watching movies on the Note9 is a real treat. While it’s unlikely you’d run out of storage with a 512GB phone, it's possible to increase that capacity to 1TB by adding a 512GB microSD card.

For photography lovers, the Note9 has a dual 12MP camera system with 2x optical zoom. It’s also equipped with an innovative dual aperture lens that will intelligently choose between two apertures—F1.5 and F2.4—when the situation calls for it. And with Flaw Detection, the camera will now detect blinks, blurs, smudged lenses, and backlighting, and notify you to adjust and re-shoot so that you don’t end up with a bad photo.
