StarHub just issued a press statement that its fibre broadband service in Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Woodlands now appears to be fully restored. Details of the compensation for affected customers will be revealed soon.
In its press statement, the telco explained why it took some time for full service restoration. Apparently, some fibre links within these cables had to be rectified individually over the last few days even though all damaged fibre cables were repaired by 11 October.
The telco sincerely apologises to all affected customers for the inconvenience caused. Details of the compensation for affected customers will be announced soon.
In the meantime, StarHub will continue to monitor the situation closely with OpenNet and SingTel to ensure its service remains stable.
