On Tuesday evening, 17th September, StarHub customers experienced service disruptions on their mobile services as well as their fixed Internet access services. It appears that this service disruption was limited to StarHub as the other two major Internet service providers said that they did not faced any interruptions.

According to StarHub’s Facebook post on Tuesday evening, the company had received customers’ complaints with regards to issues on Internet access. The company then acknowledged service disruptions and reported its progressive efforts to restore affected services. Most of the issues were reportedly resolved by 9:50pm, on the same evening.

StarHub has attributed the root cause of its service disruption to an internet routing issue. The company has ruled out cyber-attacks on its infrastructure, and has taken steps to iron out this issue to avoid a repeat of this unfortunate incident. StarHub has also reached out to affected customers to apologise and offer gratitude for their kind understanding and patience.

On a more positive note, StarHub has extended its Apple iPhone 11 pre-orders to 18 September 2019, 11:59pm. If you are still sitting on the fence, do check out our review on the latest iPhones.
