For those unaware, StarHub currently offers a few HomeHub plans, each of them a package that ties the telco’s various services together, such as home fiber broadband, mobile broadband, home phone line, and fiber TV. With most of these services made possible by fiber broadband and the fact that it is originally designed for home use, the lack of a mobile component in HomeHub (though obvious) is understandable.
That said, StarHub is addressing the gap with today’s announcement of HomeHub Go, a 5-in-1 service that now includes a mobile component. Subscribers can choose either 7GB of local data (with 300 local minutes and 300 local SMS/MMS) or 700 local minutes (with 1GB local data and 300 local SMS/MMS). They also get a mobile handset subsidy, and can add up to five more HomeHub Go mobile lines at S$60 per month per line. (For comparison, StarHub’s standalone 4G 6 plan costs at least S$82.32 per month and bundles 6GB of local data, 700 local minutes, and 1,500 local SMS/MMS.)
That aside, the HomeHub Go plans, with prices ranging from S$128.80 to S$148.80, also come bundled with four other essential services – fibre home broadband (200Mbps, 500Mbps, or 1Gbps), 21Mbps mobile broadband, up to 62 channels on fibre TV, and a home phone line with unlimited local calls. The plans also offer a HomeHub voucher ranging from S$6 to S$8 every month for subscribers to purchase additional StarHub TV content, including video-on-demand titles and add-on channels.
