SingTel's Listening to Your Network and Reception Woes!
Keen on improving their service and performance levels for mobile connectivity, SingTel has taken a step forward to help users easily report on their network coverage, mobile internet connectivity concerns and more through their newly launched Facebook application. Check out how you can help.
Are you a SingTel customer and have been facing stuttering mobile internet usage or worse yet, network connectivity and coverage issues? You're not alone as there have been numerous reports in our Mobile Communications forum, Internet Bandwidth & Networking forum and many more.
The good news is that SingTel is listening and is keenly intent on improving their service levels and have launched a Facebook application to capture all the details required for their team to assess and find solutions to improve your woes. So do chip in and help improve SingTel's service and performance levels for all the fellow subscribers.

Additionally, SingTel has also posted the following improvements that is in their pipeline:-
• We are adding more than 100 new base station sites islandwide before the end of this year to boost capacity and further enhance coverage.
• We are implementing 3 and 4-cell carrier technologies to double the traffic handling capacity at all 3G sites within the next 3 - 6 months.
• We are upgrading our 3G network to offer download speeds of up to 42Mbps. This is double the 21Mbps speed of existing 3G networks. All 3G sites islandwide will support 42Mbps by early 2013.
• We have according to independent tests the fastest 4G network, and our 4G network will cover 80% of the island by the end of the year. Island wide coverage will be achieved in early 2013.
