Singtel Group CEO, Chua Sock Koong, released a statement on their Facebook fan page tonight detailing the actions they've taken and apologizing to M1 and Starhub.

After admitting its involvement with Gushcloud two days ago, Singtel's Group CEO, Chua Sock Koong, posted a note on their Facebook page tonight to clarify the matter further. In her note, she revealed that Singtel has "since terminated the services of the agency and the employee is no longer with us."

Although Singtel is quick to react to the allegations brought to light by blogger, Xiaxue, over 5 days ago, there is no official statement from IDA yet. However, Singtel was quick to apologize to M1 and Starhub over this incident and its failure to live up to their high standards and value.

Full statement here:-

"In June 2014, we worked with a digital agency to promote a youth marketing campaign. We regret that a Singtel employee who worked on this campaign did not adhere to our professional standards and values. We have since terminated the services of the agency and the employee is no longer with us.

Singtel does not condone negative campaigns or publicity against any individual or organisation. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of professional values and integrity.

The management of Singtel and the 10,000 employees who are committed to and live by our values every day are deeply disappointed by this lapse. We will reinforce these professional standards and values in the company. We will also ensure that business partners we work with are held to the same professional standards.

We are committed to healthy competition in each of our markets. The senior management and I apologise, in particular to M1 and Starhub, that our actions in this incident did not live up to our high standards and values.
