Singtel has introduced new 5G plans, that Singtel calls its “5G plus Priority” plans. These revamped plans are valid for both physical and eSIM subscribers and cover postpaid and SIM only plans.
This means that the subscriber gets access to Singtel’s new “Singtel 5G+” 5G network that uses network slicing to deliver a priority 5G service. Where Singtel’s usual 5G speeds are a download speed of up to 1Gbps and an upload speed of up to 100Mbps, Singtel says that its 5G+ Priority speeds are up to four times faster.
But that’s not all the priority service you get.
You get Priority Security with complimentary Mobile Protect and Priority Roaming that gives priority access to Singtel’s network partners across 81 destinations, meaning your roaming is more secure than public Wi-Fi or alternative SIM cards.

There is also Singtel Priority Care means that you are first to be served, whether in-store, over Singtel’s hotline, or via chat.
Singtel has deployed network slicing for consumer subscribers at major events where connectivity would be at a premium, such as the National Day Parade, Taylor Swift, and Coldplay concerts. At these events, Singtel subscribers were able to take photos and videos and upload them to their social media accounts without lag affecting them.
Cheong Hai Thoo, VP of Mobile and Networks at Singtel, showcased the speed of 5G+ during some demonstrations, when he showed how fast a smartphone connected to Singtel’s 5G+ network was compared to a normal 5G network when connecting to apps like YouTube and Grab.
Not just for consumers

At a launch event for the new Singtel 5G+ network, Ng Tian Chong, Chief Executive Officer, Singtel Singapore, said:
Today’s consumers are leading increasingly digital lifestyles, while businesses are seeking cutting-edge solutions to drive growth and innovation. Anticipating these demands, we invested ahead in achieving 5G coverage so Singapore could be a testbed for innovation and realise its Smart Nation ambitions. With 5G+, Singtel is setting a new standard in 5G connectivity that will benefit both consumers and enterprises. We will continue to explore the latest technologies to bolster our 5G+ offering to deliver enhanced digital experiences and enable more opportunities for our customers to advance.
Over recent years, Singtel has been working to boost its 5G network with the latest being the deployment of the 700MHz spectrum. One of the key properties of the 700MHz band is that it allows for better signal transfers in dense urban environments like Singapore, thanks to its penetrative capabilities. This ensures uninterrupted calls and data services in locations like basement carparks, HDB estates, or high-rise commercial developments where concrete structures could hinder connectivity signals.
Ng shared how Singtel was already deploying 5G+ services at certain enterprise locations like Changi Airport, the National University Health System (NUHS), and the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA). In these locations, Singtel’s 5G+ network is used for many varied things, including tracking luggage, improving the safety of ground staff, holomedicine, empowering an AI-powered healthcare assistant robot, improving shipment tracking and crane operations, and mitigating data breaches and unauthorised access.
We first covered Singtel's network slicing capabilities back when it first launched Paragon, a platform to allow local businesses to tap into Singtel’s 5G network and MEC (multi-access edge compute) to deploy applications and platform solution, within 5G network slices that could be created almost instantly to adapt and scale to a businesses needs.
