Residents staying in postal codes starting from 60 to 64 will be able to sign up for electricity plans by Keppel Electric at the M1 Shop in IMM Jurong. There are offers during this Jurong soft launch, for example, money off the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, or six months’ of free upsized data. All for new or re-contracting customers.

In case you’re wondering why someone other than the SP Group can offer electricity deals, it’s because of the Open Electricity Market (OEM). Announced in 2015, the OEM allows residents to buy electricity from electricity retailers.

StarHub has also partnered with Sunseap to offer electricity generated by solar power. Singapore-based Sunseap also provides green power to Apple Singapore and Microsoft Singapore

So StarHub and M1 are in with power … Singtel, what about you?
