M1 has added 5G roaming across 17 countries to its Bespoke Flexi, Bespoke Contract, Bespoke SIM-only, and Bespoke Family plans, to give its customers access to faster connectivity options when overseas,

The current list of 17 countries includes Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Israel, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, UAE, and the USA with Taiwan and Vietnam getting added to the list on 16 June. M1 has said that it is planning to add more destinations in the coming months.

M1’s 5Go Access add-on will cost customers S$2.03. M1 Bespoke SIM-only customers get free 6-month access to True 5G while Bespoke Flexi and Handset customers are able to enjoy 12-month free access to True 5G. Bespoke Contract, Bespoke Family, and Bespoke Flexi (without a handset contract) will not enjoy any free access to 5Go.

Do also note that subscribing to M1’s 5Go Access add-on alone doesn’t provide you with data access when overseas. You’ll need to subscribe to that separately.

M1 isn’t the first telco in Singapore to offer such a plan. Singtel started its 5G roaming offering two years ago to 18 countries.
