M1 is updating its SIM-only Maxx plans with 5G for all new and existing customers. New customers will automatically get 5G connectivity as part of their plans, whereas existing customers can choose to upgrade to 5G at no cost.
Existing customers can check their phone, SIM, and plan eligibility using the Maxx app. Go to “Account” and then “Check Your 5G Readiness”. Customers who prefer a 5G eSIM can upgrade instantly via the app, and those who prefer or require a physical 5G SIM can visit designated M1 shops or Maxx 5G SIM Exchange road shows.
Maxx currently offers two 5G plans – one at S$10 and another at S$12. A cheaper 4G plan is an online exclusive. Here’s a quick overview of the three plans on offer.
