Apple iPhone 16 series and 16 Pro series telco price plans (Updated)

Well, following another busy night of announcements, Apple’s iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are now available for order from our local telcos. Pre-orders begin on 13 September with general availability and retail sales beginning on 20th September.

We have compiled the prices of Singtel, M1, and StarHub here for you so you can compare them easily.

Singtel’s iPhone 16 series and iPhone 16 Pro series price plans

Singtel’s device price plans for the iPhone 16 series revolve around a two-year contract with the usual bells and whistles: local mobile data, call minutes, SMSes, and a monthly fee. Hit the link above to see the exact allotments for each tier.

Please note that you will receive more discounts if you subscribe to a higher plan. As the Singtel website says, “More savings with up to S$485 OFF with M phone plan and above.”

Some of the promotions Singtel offers with a purchase of an iPhone 16 include:

• Priority pre-order, free delivery and S$80 off the iPhone 16 with Singtel Red.
• 20% off phone plans for NTUC members with a new sign-up.
• S$50 cashback with a minimum S$800 spend on the Singtel-UOB credit card.
• Up to $75 of Yuu points with new sign-up.
• Free McAfee security app that comes with all phone plans.

Compared to last year’s iPhone 15 series price plans, it does seem like Singtel’s iPhone 16 price plans are similar or slightly cheaper.

StarHub’s iPhone 16 series and iPhone 16 Pro series price plans

For those wanting to get an iPhone 6 through StarHub, StarHub’s two-year contracts are known as their “Device Plans” or you can also get an iPhone 16 via its no-contract SIM-only programme, Star Plan.

Customers will be able to pre-order their iPhone 16 beginning 13 September 2024 with StarHub’s SIM only Star Plan and from 18 September 2024 with StarHub’s Device Plan, with availability on 20 September 2024.

StarHub’s SIM Only price plans

StarHub has two SIM only price plans for the iPhone 16 series that cover 12 and 24 months. Unlike Singtel’s PayLater and its S$0 upfront, you will pay a certain amount upfront and then a fixed monthly fee for either 12 or 24 months. One of the bonuses you get under StarHub’s SIM Only plans is an additional S$100 in “Extra Trade-in Cashback”.

As a point to note, all StarHub’s mobile plans are available with eSIM technology so you don’t need a physical SIM.

StarHub’s Device Only price plans

StarHub's Device Plans have the usual perks etc., that you can check out here. There is no initial cost for your iPhone 16 with its cost divided over the 24 months contract period. StarHub also added that Trust Bank customers who are a new sign-up to a StarHub Device Plan with an iPhone 16 model will get an additional 20% off the Device Plan for the entire contract period.

M1’s iPhone 16 series and iPhone 16 Pro series price plans

M1’s Bespoke Contract and Flexi price plans for the iPhone 16 series came out later than those from Singtel and StarHub. But nonetheless they’ve arrived so here they are for you. 

M1's iPhone 16 Bespoke Contract Price Plans

M1’s Bespoke Contract plans are, like the others, 24 months in duration. The cost of an iPhone 16 is determined by an initial device cost and a monthly repayment over the 24-months.

Customers who get an iPhone 16 smartphone under M1’s Bespoke Contract plan can also get:

• S$100 off when you trade in your device
• Free Caller Number Display for 2 months for new sign-ups or port-in customers
• Free Unlimited Weekend Data for 2 months for new sign-ups or port-in customers
• Free registration, SIM card and delivery

M1’s iPhone 16 Bespoke Flexi Price Plans

M1’s Bespoke Flexi plans work somewhat differently from Singtel and StarHub in that you have the option to stretch your monthly repayments for the iPhone 16 series over 12, 24, and 36 months. It lowers the monthly repayment price, but you could end up paying more for longer.

There is also a difference if you are an existing customer or if you are new to M1 and signing a new phone line. Existing customers don’t need to split the cost by paying for some of the iPhone 16 upfront but can instead split the cost over the length of their contract.

However, if you cancel the plan before your phone's monthly installments are done, you must pay for the rest of the phone in full.

Like those signing up to an M1 Bespoke Contract plan, those adopting a Bespoke Flexi plan will receive the following:

• S$100 off when you trade in your device
• Free Caller Number Display for 2 months for new sign-ups or port-in customers
• Free Unlimited Weekend Data for 2 months for new sign-ups or port-in customers
• Free registration, SIM card and delivery

A Bespoke Flexi plan for the iPhone 16 Pro Max for example, starts at S$35.27/month (30GB, 100 minutes) and goes all the way up to S$74.90/month ("unlimited" GB, 100 minutes). This does not include the cost of your phone's monthly installment or the upfront cost.
