Eight, the StarHub-owned challenger brand best known for shaking up the 4G and 5G mobile space, is now gearing up to enter the home broadband market in Singapore. According to the MVNO, it is offering 10Gbps speeds at S$28.80/month.

The company has launched an early interest registration page for potential home internet plans, signalling an upcoming move into a highly competitive home internet scene dominated by major telcos and niche-looking challengers.

Eight says customers who register early will receive priority access and exclusive launch perks, with existing Eight mobile users getting “extra benefits” when the plans go live. Customers who register early will be among the first to enjoy:

  • First-hand updates on launch details
  • Priority installation slots
  • Exclusive early-bird promotions

From what we’ve received from Eight so far, the plan comes with:

  • A Service Guarantee, including 28-day priority support and biannual performance check-ins
  • A Bring Your Own Router (BYOR) option for greater flexibility and sustainability
  • Exclusive early-bird benefits for those who register interest early

Eight Home Internet will be adopting a Bring Your Own Router (BYOR) approach, so customers can use their existing routers or purchase one from eight’s trusted installers in a bid to avoid unnecessary costs. We’ve asked Eight who their installers are and the router models available to their customers but haven’t received a reply.

The move follows Eight’s recent introduction of two new 5G plans, continuing the brand’s push to carve out market share with simplicity and competitive value.

More updates are expected soon, and we’ll share full details as soon as they’re available.
