Xiaomi Working on First Tablet with Intel and NVIDIA
According to the Topology Research Institute, Xiaomi is working on its first tablet device with both Intel and NVIDIA listed as possible chipset providers. The tablet is rumored to feature a 7.85-inch screen with an ultra-sharp 2,048 x 1,536 pixel resolution.
According to the Topology Research Institute, Xiaomi is working on its first tablet device with Intel and NVIDIA. Topology researcher, Michael Zuo, said that "Xiaomi might choose only one of the firms to provide the chipsets for its new tablet, which is expected to feature a 7.85-inch screen with an ultra-sharp 2,048 x 1,536 pixel resolution."
Citing Chinese sources, Zuo also said that the rumored tablet could be available for just 1000 yuan (S$200) in the third or fourth quarter this year. The tablet is likely to be assembled by Hon Hai Group and Inventec Corp, both manufacturing partners of Xiaomi's smartphones.
