Xiaomi has just announced its new Xiaomi 15 series phones and SU7 Ultra flagship EV. The company didn't stop there, hauling in a tablet refresh via its Xiaomi Pad 7 Series.
We were quite impressed by the Xiaomi Pad 6 (review here) when it launched in 2023, and it looks as if Xiaomi has upgraded the new Pad 7 with even better hardware.
The series has two models, with the base Xiaomi Pad 7 and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. Both models have an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD touchscreen that supports 144Hz refresh rates in a new 3:2 aspect ratio. The displays go up to 800 nits of peak brightness, which is noticeably higher than the Xiaomi Pad 6's 550-nit peak brightness.
Inside, the Xiaomi Pad 7 comes with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, while the higher-end Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. To power all that, both models have a large 8,850mAh battery inside, although the Pad 7 only has 45W wired charging while the Pad 7 Pro can charge at a faster 67W.

The standard Pad 7 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, while the Pad 7 Pro has a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera.
Both models have side-mounted fingerprint readers, weigh 500g, and have the same dimensions: 251.22 x 173.42 x 6.18mm.
The tablet will run on Xiaomi's HyperOS 2, consisting of HyperConnect, HyperAI and HyperCore. While it's not confirmed that these features will be coming to markets outside of Mainland China, HyperOS 2 does offer nice features like dual-camera streaming between Xiaomi tablets and phones, improved performance and AI functionality.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Series starts at CNY 1,999 (~S$371.30) and will be available in Black, Blue and Green.
