The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (2016) tablets also come with new processors – the Wi-Fi version and the LTE edition have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor (with four 1.8GHz and four 1.4GHz cores). They were also updated to support Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Both sizes kept its 3GB RAM which is still a decent amount for processing and having several open apps in the background.
No changes were made to its Super AMOLED, QXGA display resolution (2,048 x 1,536 pixels resolution). The new tablets are still just as thin as before, with dimensions at 169 x 237.3 x 5.6mm (9.7-inch) and 134.8 x 198.6 x 5.6mm (8.0-inch). The 32GB internal storage stayed, together with the 128GB expandable option. Battery capacity remained the same, too, at 5,870mAh for 9.7-inch and 4,000mAh for 8.0-inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (2016) tablets are available now in colors Black, White, and Gold. Here are the prices for the different variants:
- 8.0-inch (Wi-Fi only): S$498
- 8.0-inch (4G): S$598
- 9.7-inch (Wi-Fi only): S$598
- 9.7-inch (4G): S$698

This range received considerable upgrades. The Tab uses a 1.6GHz octa-core processor (according to Samsung, it's a Exynos 7870 processor), and a boost to WGXA display (1,920 x 1,200 pixels resolution). It received new cameras too, with an 8.0-megapixel rear camera and 2.0-megapixel front camera. Since this version sits at 10.1-inches, the tablets are considerably thicker, as it now sits at 254.2 x 155.3 x 8.2mm. However, there’s also a significant increase in battery capacity, which sits at 7,300mAh now.
The RAM remained unchanged at 2GB, and its Wi-Fi and LTE performance stayed the same.
