More rumors have emerged with regards to the upcoming flagship iPad model. With inside information from within Apple’s supply chain, DigiTimes has alleged that it will feature a 14,000mAh battery and be released alongside a new mid-range iPad model.

It is not mentioned whether the latter will come with the same battery, but both models are said to feature upgraded 2,048 x 1,536-pixel displays with dual-LED backlighting. Based on previous reports, the new battery pack will allegedly be lighter too. There have also been conflicting reports about the new iPad being thinner/thicker than the current iPad 2, but details have not been confirmed yet.

The upcoming 2012 iPad lineup is said to include three models with the last one being a low-end version of the iPad 2. Right now, we can only speculate.
