Logitech just announced their new Logitech Slim Folio Keyboard Case. It’s a Bluetooth-connected keyboard that’s compatible with the fifth-generation, 9.7-inch iPad.

The tablet case comes with a keyboard that offers integrated iOS shortcuts. There are hotkeys for Home, Siri, Search, Input Language, on-screen keyboard, media controls (back, play/pause, forward), volume controls (Mute, Volume down, Volume up), Lock iPad, Bluetooth, and Keyboard Battery check. The keys themselves are edge-to-edge with a key travel of 1.5mm.

The Slim Folio offers two fixed angles for typing (58-degrees) and for browsing (10-degrees). The closing mechanism is a magnetic clasp, and it automatically triggers the iPad’s display on and off when opening and closing said cover. Its front and back are protected against simple scratches, bumps, and light spills. According to Logitech, the material used was originally developed for the luggage-making industry.

The Slim Folio connects to the iPad using Bluetooth LE (Low Energy), and it’s powered by two replaceable coin cell batteries. By Logitech’s estimates, it has a four-year long battery life if the Slim Folio is used for typing up to two hours each day.

The Logitech Slim Folio is available now at S$139. It can be found via authorized retailers.
