The iPad with Mini-LED display and AirPods are said to be coming in the first half of 2021.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPad with Mini-LED display and AirPods 3 are expected to go into mass production during the first half of 2021. This suggests that we could be looking at an event in March or a debut at WWDC 2021.

Chinese manufacturer Jialianyi will be a critical partner in the supply chain for Apple due to its flexible soft board technology. The liquid crystal polymer (LCP) soft boards offer a flexible way to connect components together while facilitating high-speed, low-latency data transfer.  Jialianyi is believed to secure orders for the acoustic and optical components in the soft boards for the iPad with Mini-LED display.

The iPad with Mini-LED display is believed to be from the Pro lineup. Earlier rumours suggest that Apple could unveil this tablet as early as Q4, but development was apparently delayed due to "complex panel design" and the Covid-19 outbreak.

Kuo added that Apple will replace the rigid-flex PCB+SMT design of the AirPods 2 with the System-in-Package of the AirPods Pro for the AirPods 3. This will result in a design similar to the AirPods Pro. Recent leaked purported photos of the AirPods 3 and Bloomberg's report appear to corroborate Kuo's claims.
