ASUS is said to be working with Google on a Nexus-branded 7-inch tablet. Not only will the tablet be priced competitively at US$199, it will also be powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
According to Android and Me, two different industry sources it spoke with in person at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 claimed that the Google Nexus tablet will be manufactured by ASUS. The 7-inch device will be powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is also expected to retail for US$199.
It will be not a surprise if the rumor turns out to be true. ASUS Corporate Vice President, Benson Lin commented last week that his company enjoys a very close relationship with Google and he hinted that the next version of Android will be named Jelly Beans.
