ASUS has announced the launch of the ZenPad C 7.0 tablet today. The 7-inch dual 3G SIM Android tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and is the first device powered by Intel's 64-bit quad-core SoFIA processor.

The 7-inch tablet has an 8.4mm profile and weighs just 265g, making it fairly portable. It features a 7-inch IPS 1,024 x 600 resolution display (170ppi).

SoFIA – short for “Smart or Feature phone with Intel Architecture”, is Intel's new low-cost SoC, boasting 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom processor cores and an integrated cellular baseband modem. The chip was actually designed at Intel's labs in Singapore.

Available in Obsidian Black and Pearl White colors, the ZenPad C 7.0 will be retailing at S$199 at all ASUS authorized retailers and ASUS brand stores from today.
