Apple did not update the iPad Air lineup last year which means that the upcoming iPad Air 3 may sport some important updates.
According to a leaked schematics published by nowhereelse.fr, the iPad Air 3 will sport four stereo speakers similar to its larger sibling, the iPad Pro. In addition, the iPad Air 3 seems to have a LED flash on its rear camera, a first for an iPad.
What does Apple have in mind for the iPad Air 3? Well, it seems that Apple is trying to pitch the iPad Air 3 as a tablet capable of both entertainment and photography. If the iPad Air 3 deploys the same speakers as the iPad Pro, which sound really good, it would strike the perfect balance between portability and media consumption. The addition of a rear camera flash can be interpreted as Apple's first step to improving tablet photography although the idea of taking photos on a tablet still irks us.
The iPad Air 3 is expected to be unveiled at Apple's rumored event in March alongside new watch bands for the Apple Watch and the 4-inch iPhone 5se.
