Future Apple iPads may come with titanium alloy chassis.
Sources told DigiTimes that Apple is considering to use titanium-based metal chassis for the iPads. However, Apple does not plan to do so now as the material is very expensive. Current iPads use aluminium-based metal in their chassis. Compared to aluminium, titanium is more resistant to scratches and is more durable to withstand bending.
JP Morgan released an investor report last month claiming the iPhone 14 Pro may come with a titanium alloy chassis and Foxconn is the likely to be the exclusive manufacturer.
