A day before Apple’s education-focused event, which is almost certain to feature new low-cost iPads, Acer has announced Chromebook Tab 10, the first tablet to run Chrome OS. For those unaware, before this, Chrome OS is typically found on laptops (a.k.a Chromebooks).
Here are the key specs of the Chromebook Tab 10:
- 9.7-inch, 2,048 x 1,536-pixel display
- 6-core 3399 RockChip “OP1” SoC (two ARM Cortex A72 + four Cortex A53 cores)
- 4GB RAM
- 32GB internal storage (supports microSD)
- 5MP rear camera, 2MP webcam at the front
- USB-C port, headphone jack
- Comes with stylus (Wacom EMR)
- Supports Google Play store
- ~1.2 pounds (540g)
The Acer Chromebook Tab 10 has a sticker price of US$329, and will go on sale in the U.S. in April.
