If the rumors turn out to be true, ASUS will be moving into the 7-inch tablet market with the debut of its ASUS Eee Pad tablet at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 next week.
According to Android Central, the image obtained shows a smaller-sized Android tablet with docking connectors at the bottom. This indicates the possibility of a keyboard docking station accessory, which has a similar concept as the quad-core Eee Pad Transformer Prime. The tablet is said to have the following specs:
Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core 1.2GHz processor
7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels
16GB to 64GB flash memory
3G and Wi-Fi support
Having seen considerable success with its 10.1-inch tablets, it is no surprise to see ASUS make its next move into the 7-inch category.
