Xiaomi to unveil 5.2-inch Mi 5 and 6-inch Mi 5 Plus in July?

Fresh from its recent Mi 4i launch, rumors are pointing that Xiaomi would be launching two new flagship smartphones, the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus, sometime in July.

It's almost one year since Xiaomi unveiled the 5-inch Mi 4 smartphone and the rumor mill is now focusing on its successor.

According to a leak on Chinese social networking site Weibo, Xiaomi is alleged to be launching two phones - the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus - in July. The Mi 5 is said to come with a 5.2-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB or 4GB RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 3,000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. 

The Mi 5 Plus is expected to sport a 6-inch Quad-HD display with a bezel-less or edge-to-edge design, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage space, and a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization. 

Xiaomi recently unveiled the Mi 4i, which is powered by a second generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and a 3,120mAh battery. Together with the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro phablet devices, Xiaomi is certainly taking the smartphone market by storm.
