The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is less of a secret now, given that Xiaomi’s CEO has published its global launch date on his social media account.

According to Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi (on Twitter/X), the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be released globally on 2 March 2025. The post also confirms Xiaomi's continued partnership with Leica, with a mention and an image of the handset boasting Leica’s logo on the camera housing.

The device also resembles silver chrome variants of Leica cameras, specifically the Leica M11, but in Silver. While it’s a nice homage to the German cameras, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra itself doesn’t look very inspiring, and we’re hoping it’s just CGI renders failing to do the phone any justice.

Lei Jun’s teaser confirms a few things on our end. The date given in his online post matches Xiaomi’s online RSVP for its upcoming MWC 2025 keynote, which means that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the highlight of its launch. (Note: We are ahead of its indicated timezone, which means we'll learn about the device on the same day at 9 PM SGT onwards.)

Also, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is registered for sale, as seen in IMDA’s equipment portal, which means Singapore is getting the phone as close to the global launch date as possible.

Other confirmed details about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would be its 90W charging, which will logically use the Snapdragon 8 Elite premium chipset given that its Xiaomi 15 sibling came with the Qualcomm processor when it had its China-only launch.
