Universal Facebook App Now Available for Java-enabled Phones
Known as Facebook for Every Phone app, the world's most popular social networking site plans to extend its reach into almost all mobile phones.
We have seen Facebook apps developed for smartphones of different platforms such as iOS and Google Android. Facebook today takes a step further by unveiling Facebook for Every Phone app, which is available for download on over 2,500 Java-enabled mobile phones.
Besides featuring the most commonly used features such as News Feed and Photos, the Facebook for Every Phone app also allows you to upload photos and search for friends from your phone book. While the app is currently available for Java-enabled mobile phones, Facebook is working to make the app compatible with more mobile phones in the future.
It seems to us that Facebook is aggressively boosting its presence in the mobile arena. Last week, we saw the announcement of the to incorporate video chat function on the social networking site.
