Tumblr for Android Updated with New Interface

Tumblr, one of the most popular social media sites on the internet (especially among teens), gave its Android app a complete overhaul. Improvements to the user interface include fancy new animations, an expandable control menu seen in the image above and a look that is consistent with Android "Holo" theme. According to Engadget, Tumblr also updated its iOS app last month, but improvements were focused on the apps's camera. There's no further information on when Tumblr's iOS app will be updated with a new look, but we expect it to be coming soon if Tumblr wants to keep up with Twitter and Facebook. The competing social media companies have just recently updated their mobile apps, with Facebook seeking a deeper level of integration with Android for an encompassing user experience.
