RBC Capital Markets analyst Amit Daryanani shares his predictions on the likely prices of the 2018 iPhone models.

According to Daryanani, the next generation iPhone X and its Plus-sized variant could be priced from US$899 and US$999 respectively. He claims that the current iPhone X has "limited success" at US$999 and Apple would cut the base price of the new model by US$100 to boost sales.

Taking reference from Daryanani's estimates, MacRumors came up with this price list for the other iPhone models:

  • 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus - US$999
  • 5.8-inch iPhone X (2nd gen) - US$899
  • 6.1-inch iPhone with LCD - US$799
  • iPhone 8 - US$549
  • iPhone 8 Plus - US$669
  • iPhone 7 - US$449
  • iPhone 7 Plus - US$569
  • iPhone SE - US$349

Apple is said to have started trial production of the 2018 iPhone models earlier this year to avoid a repeat of the production delays that plagued the iPhone X last year. It is expected to sell 100 million units of the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone model this year.
