Steve Jobs Threatened "Thermonuclear War" on Google Android

The biography on Steve Jobs, written by Walter Isaacson talks about the former Apple CEO's views on Google Android.

According to the Associated Press, Isaccson wrote that Steve Jobs was furious when HTC unveiled the first Android phone in January 2010 which had similar features as the iPhone. Jobs described Google's actions as "grand theft" and filed lawsuits.

AP - "I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong," Jobs said. "I'm going to destroy Android, because it's a stolen product. I'm willing to go thermonuclear war on this."

The book also revealed that Jobs had a subsequent meeting with Eric Schmdit, former CEO of Google over the lawsuits.

Not only did Jobs rejected any possible payout from Google, he also demanded Schmidt to stop using Apple's ideas in Android. Isaacson noted that the meeting ended with no resolution.

These startling insights from the Steve Jobs biography may explain why Apple is aggressively suing Google and its partners.
