Sony unveils Xperia Z5 Premium, Z5 and Z5 Compact at IFA 2015
Sony Mobile unveiled the Xperia Z5 series which include the 5.5-inch Xperia Z5 Premium, the 5.2-inch Xperia Z5 and the 4.6-inch Xperia Z5 Compact. Hit the link to find out more about the new Xperia smartphones!
Just as Sony Mobile CEO and President Hiroki Totoki promised in July, the new Xperia Z5 series of smartphones have "a good quality of camera, a good quality of screen, and also good picture and audio quality". The company announced three Xperia Z5 smartphones, the 5.5-inch Xperia Z5 Premium, the 5.2-inch Xperia Z5 and the 4.6-inch Xperia Z5 Compact.
There are a number of similarities across the three devices which include the use of nano-SIM standard, an IP68 certified chassis for water/dust resistance, a new integrated fingerprint sensor power button, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 32GB internal storage otion with microSD support up to 200GB, a new 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS for mobile 23MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and the fastest autofocus speed of 0.03 seconds, a 5.1-megapixel front-facing camera, up to two days of battery life and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.

Moving on to the differences, the Xperia Z5 Premium sports a 5.5-inch 4K display which is a first for a smartphone. To make full use of the display, Sony states that the Xperia Z5 Premium will upscale content to 4K. In addition, keeping the Xperia Z5 Premium going for up to two days of usage is a huge 3,430mAh battery. It is also larger at 154.4 x 75.8 x 7.8mm and weighs 180g. It has 3GB RAM and is available in three colors: chrome, black, gold.

The Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a 2,900mAh battery, 3GB RAM and four colors (white, graphite black, gold and green). The smallest of the series, the Xperia Z5 Compact features a 4.6-inch 720p display with 2GB RAM, a 2,700mAh battery and four colors (yellow, coral, white and graphite black).

Sony states that the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact will be available globally from next month while the Xperia Z5 Premium will hit global markets from November. There will be single-SIM and dual-SIM variants of the Xperia Z5 Premium and Z5 although availability will vary depending on market.
