The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus joins the existing “super mid-range” tier this season. With a display that’s 0.5-inch smaller than its sibling, the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, this offering by Sony seeks to bring its premium camera hardware and features to life, at a lower price point.
The Xperia XA1 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch, Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution) display. On the back, you’ll find a familiar 23-megapixel resolution camera with its large 1/2.3-inch sensor and f/2.0 aperture lens. The front camera has 8-megapixels, and a 23mm wide-angle lens, making it competent enough for group selfies. It offers a battery capacity that’s larger than its flagships – at 3,430mAh.
The XA1 Plus is also Sony’s first XA-related phone to have a fingerprint sensor. Other perks include its Hi-Res Audio compatibility, and 35% higher sound pressure (louder) speakers when compared to its predecessor.
