Skype brings background blurring feature to iOS app
Skype updated its iOS app with a new background blurring feature.
More than a year after bringing background blurring to desktop and laptops, Skype updated its iOS app this week to support the feature.
Similar to Microsoft Teams, Skype deploys artifical intelligence (AI) to keep the user in focus during the video call. The AI is trained in human form detection; it can detect hair, hands and arms.
The background blurring feature can be enabled in settings or when in a video call by using the "Blur my background" option.
