Samsung's Good Lock 2018 app now available for download in Singapore

Samsung today announced the availability of Good Lock 2018 app for Android 8.0 Oreo-powered Galaxy phone users in Singapore, Australia, the U.K and Canada. 

First introduced in 2016, the Good Lock app gives users a frequently updated array of customizable features for their Galaxy phones. The app has been updated this year with the following features: Lockstar, QuickStar, Task Changer, Routines and ClockFace. 

Lockstar

You can personalize the lock screen by selecting your favorite background, clock face, which items or shortcuts to appear visible on the screen and preferred arrangement in a variety of configurations. You can even choose the gesture to unlock the phone.

Quickstar

The Quick Panel can be revamped according to your preferences; you can adjust the color and transparency of the background of the quick panel with the Coloring tab by choosing from a list of recommendations or creating your own palette. You also can have control over what icons to display in the Status Bar via the Simple Indicator tab. The Notification Multi-Window tab can be turned on or off too. 

Task Changer

You can customize the way you scroll through recent apps; swipe left or right rather than up or down, the Scroll effects and shrinking the apps in the bottom of the screen for one-handed scrolling. You can pull up the Recently Used apps to use one app as a pop-up screen, or split view two apps by holding down the app you would like to use a little harder. Other actions include locking the app, hiding the app's contents by tapping on the icon image at the top or receiving more information about the app.

Routines

Routines help you to combine processes and functions to create new features. For example, you can set a routine to turn on Wi-Fi, rotate the screen to landscape, and adjust the volume and screen brightness as soon as you open the pre-selected media app.

ClockFace

You will never have the same clock face as your friend or family member. With ClockFace, you can select from a variety of clock designs (e.g. analog and digital clock faces, a spectrum of colors and tones) for the Always On Display and lock screen. 

As the Good Lock 2018 app was rolled out in the U.S and South Korea earlier this month, today's release brings the availability of the app to a total number of 6 countries. You can download Good Lock 2018 app from Galaxy Apps on the Galaxy S9/S9+, Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy S7/S7 edge, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy FE and other devices running Android 8.0 Oreo and above.
