Samsung is updating the Galaxy Note 9 with One UI 2.1 features
Good to see that the 2018 flagship is still being updated.
If you’re still holding on to a Galaxy Note 9, good news: Samsung has started to roll out the One UI 2.1 update for the phone.
This update, which is part of a new firmware that ends with ‘ETF5’ and which also includes the June 2020 security patch, is now available in Germany, according to SamMobile. As far as I know, this update has yet to arrive for Note 9 sets sold here in Singapore.
While the new update upgrades the One UI version on the 2018 flagship to version 2.1, it doesn’t include all the One UI 2.1 features that we’ve on the Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip.
The highlight feature is Single Take, a photo mode that records a 10-sec clip after you hit the shutter button and then processes the recording to give you a variety of best shots. Other additions include a Pro video recording mode and AR Zone, the latter for features such as AR Emoji and AR Doodle. There’s Quick Share and Music Share, too, AirDrop-like features that enable you to easily share files and music with other devices.
