Samsung filed a trademark application for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in South Korea a few days ago. This latest development is likely to confirm recent reports that Samsung is indeed unveiling a curved variant of the Galaxy S6 on March 1 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.

It's almost confirmed that we are going to see two Samsung Galaxy S6 models at the Galaxy Unpacked event on March 1st in Barcelona

According to GalaxyClub, Samsung has filed a trademark application for the names, "Galaxy S6" and "S6 edge" in South Korea. What's interesting is that the "edge" is stated in lowercase without the Galaxy branding. The latest report apparently confirmed earlier rumors of at least one model with a curved display and Samsung also teased a curvy Galaxy phone in its event invite.

The Galaxy S6 edge is said to be inspired from the Galaxy Note Edge 4G+, which achieved worldwide sales of over 630,000 units to date since its availability in late November. It remains to be seen whether Samsung will include two curved edges on the S6 edge as depicted in this leaked render
