Samsung may be preparing to launch a more powerful variant of the Galaxy S5 soon.

According to a pricing database in Hong Kong, the more powerful variant is called the Galaxy S5 LTE-A and is known by its model number SM-G906S. Its specs include a 5.1-inch QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, Android 4.4.3 KitKat, a 16-megapixel rear camera and microSD support up to 128GB.

The Korea Herald reported last week that Samsung is planning to announce the Galaxy S5 Prime in June to compete with LG's upcoming G3 smartphone which also comes with a QHD display.

This is not the first time Samsung is launching a more powerful variant of its flagship smartphone. The South Korean company launched an advanced 4G variant of the Galaxy S4 in Korea last June and Singapore only got it five months later

Could the Galaxy S5 LTE-A be the alleged Galaxy S5 Prime? It's anybody's guess.
