Samsung Singapore announces Galaxy Note7 local exchange program

Some resolution for local Samsung Galaxy Note7 owners as Samsung Singapore has just announced its local exchange program for affected devices. Do read on for more details.

Samsung Singapore has announced its local exchange program for Samsung Galaxy Note7 owners. The company will provide "existing Galaxy Note7 customers with a new replacement Galaxy Note7 in exchange for their current devices." From 16 September to 2 October, customers who have purchased the affected device from "from any local telecommunication operators, major consumer electronics stores, authorized mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung Lazada Singapore Online Store", will be eligible for a 1-to-1 exchange via the following options:-

  • In person at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre
  • Free home delivery

According to Samsung Singapore, the customer will be able to get a new Samsung Galaxy Note7 in exchange for his affected device. The new Galaxy Note7 will have to be of the same color as his previous device.

To ensure a hassle-free exchange experience (using either of the abovementioned options), the customer will have to "submit their preferred collection time slot online at www.samsung.com/sg/note7exchange within the booking period of 09 to 25 September 2016."

In the meantime, courtesy devices will be made available for loan to affected customers as they wait for their device exchange, and the devices are offered on a while-stocks-last basis. Participants of the local Galaxy Note7 exchange program will have the warranty period on their device extended to begin from the date of the exchange.
