Samsung Display showcases the industry's first Ultra Dynamic Range (UDR) 2000-certified OLED for smartphones at CES 2023.

Granted by global safety science company UL Solutions, Samsung's smartphone OLED panels garnered both UDR 1,500 and UDR 2,000 marks. The South Korean company says the OLED panels deliver more realistic quality with rich colour expression. In addition, the improved display brightness does not sacrifice on the efficiency of power consumption and organic material.

While the display of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits, Samsung's latest OLED panels are likely to boast better dynamic range. There is also a very high possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with the UDR 2000-certified OLED panel.
