Korean publication TheElec claims that the production of the Galaxy S21 series will begin in mid December. In comparison, production of the Galaxy S20 series began in January with sales starting in March. Hence, The Elec expects the Galaxy S21 series to be launched a month earlier than its predecessor. This means we could be looking at retail availability of the Galaxy S21 series in February 2021.
Sources also told TheElec that Samsung wants to take advantage of Huawei's weakening presence in global markets after the U.S trade restrictions. The codenames for the Galaxy S21 models are said to be O1, P3 and T2.
In addition, the Galaxy S21 models will come in gray, pink, violet, white and silver colour options. A new pair of wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 2 will also debut alongside the Galaxy S21 series. The wireless earbuds, codenamed Attic, will have improved water resistance.
