Samsung is expected to launch three new foldable phones next year according to UBI Research.
The research firm claims that the three foldable phones are the Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Fold Lite, and Galaxy Z Flip 2. All three foldable phones are said to use ultra-thin glass as cover windows, and will continue to use the in-folding design.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 is rumoured to have an internal screen of at least 7 inches and an external screen of at least 4 inches. The key features of the Galaxy Z Fold3 are likely to be the support of S Pen and an under-display camera.
The Galaxy Z Fold Lite is tipped to be the more affordable variant of the Galaxy Z Fold3 with the same screen sizes. The Galaxy Z Flip 2 is stated to sport a 6.7-inch internal display and a 3-inch external display.
UBI Research says the Galaxy Z Fold Lite will be the first to launch in Q1 2021 followed by the Galaxy Z Flip 2 and Galaxy Z Fold3 in Q3 2021. The rumoured timeline is similar to what Aju News reported last month; the Galaxy Z Fold3 is likely to launch in June 2021. The Galaxy Z Flip 2 is reportedly removed from the agenda of the rumoured Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2021 where the Galaxy S21 lineup is likely to debut.
