Samsung could unveil XR (extended reality) devices next year.

In its Q3 financial results report to investors, Samsung gave an outlook for 2025 which has a liner that states, "improve connectivity among products, including upcoming XR devices, to further elevate user experiences in the Galaxy ecosystem".

The South Korean company confirmed back in February 2023 that its first XR device will run on a Qualcomm chip and Google's Android platform.

Its XR headset was initially slated to enter mass production earlier this year, but Apple's launch of the Vision Pro reportedly caused Samsung to hold back on its launch and review its plans.

Business Insider claimed the XR headset could launch in the summer of this year, but that clearly did not happen. Sources told Business Insider that the product team faced some issues that might lead to further delays.

Samsung's next major announcement will likely be in January 2025 when it is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 series. Will we get some hints about its XR device strategy then?
