Samsung to release software update to fix Galaxy S20 Ultra’s green tint issue

If your S20 Ultra has this strange green tint after the Apr update, don’t worry, a fix is coming soon.

According to SamMobile, Samsung has acknowledged the ‘green tint’ issue that accompanied its April 2020 security update for the Galaxy S20 Ultra and is currently working to get a software fix out.

For those hearing this for the first time, this problem seems to affect mostly the Exynos 990 variant of the S20 Ultra. According to the affected users, whenever they switch the phone’s display to 120Hz and lower its brightness to below 30%, a green tint will appear on the screen

SamMobile has done its own testing and found that this problem also surfaces when there’s an in-app refresh rate switch (120Hz to 60Hz) at a low screen brightness.

Until Samsung releases a fix, the current workaround is to increase the screen brightness until the green tint disappears.
