With recent smartphones adopting the 4.0- to 4.3-inch standard for touchscreen sizes, Samsung has taken the competition to a whole new level. Well, the newly-announced Android 2.3 Samsung Galaxy Note will come with a whopping 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen and looks set to bridge a gap between smartphones and tablets . The mobile gadget also sports the same proprietary dual-core 1.4GHz processor that is found in the Galaxy Tab 7.7, making it a choice option for those deterred by larger tablets.

The other key highlight of the Galaxy Note is that it comes with a built-in stylus and features a pen-input technology dubbed "S Pen" which optimizes note-taking, drawing and screen-capturing on the gadget. Other noteworthy features include: a lightweight body of 178g, dual 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras and a 2500mAh battery.
