Samsung Pay Mini is coming as Samsung files trademark in the EU

Samsung has filed a trademark application in the European Union (EU) for Samsung Pay Mini which it describes as a mobile payment application (software) for smartphones.

Weeks ago, ETNews reported that Samsung was working on expanding its mobile payment service to other Android devices and the iPhone. It seems that the company is one step closer to launching the service.

Samsung filed a trademark application last week at the European Union (EU) Intellectual Property Office for Samsung Pay Mini, which it describes as a "mobile payment application (software) for smartphones" and "mobile and internet payment payment services".

It is not known when Samsung will make an official announcement, but we reckon that it may share the stage at next month's event when the Galaxy Note 7 makes its debut.
