Samsung may unveil the Galaxy S8 in April

Samsung is said to have delayed the launch of the Galaxy S8. Hit the link to find out why.

The wait for Samsung's next flagship smartphone could be a little longer as the latest report suggests the launch to be pushed back.

According to participants at Samsung's global strategy meeting in South Korea, Samsung is said to be holding a dedicated event in New York in April to launch the Galaxy S8. Apparently, the company needs more time to work with external agencies to carry out plans on recovering consumer confidence before releasing a new phone.

Samsung's concern over consumer confidence in its phones could be unfounded; a recent Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll shows that the Samsung brand in the U.S is unaffected by the Galaxy Note7 recall with the majority of consumers still willing to purchase its phones. The Investor reported last month that the launch could be at Mobile World Congress 2017 in late February with retail availability in March.
