According to The Korea Herald, industry sources claim that Samsung is planning to ditch the flat screen model of the Galaxy S8 next year as sales of the Galaxy S7 edge continue to surpass that of the Galaxy S7. In addition, Samsung has already started sourcing curved display sizes of 5.1 and 5.5-inches.
Koh Dong-jin, the head of Samsung's mobile business, reportedly revealed during an interview in New York last month that the edge displays would be the identity of the Galaxy S smartphone lineup.
